Tempo run

Hi there,

it’s been a really busy week and unfortunately I haven’t had time or energy to go running in the evening after the work. Yesterday I nevertheless decided I must go for a run so that this lighter week won’t be a completely wasted one. With well rested legs the workout started nicely and I decided I would go a bit faster this time.

Naturally I was carrying Zoi with me, like during all the past trainings. This time I could already see some results on my running style – at least when running at a relatively high tempo my tendency for breaking has been reduced (as one can see in the figure below). Also I’m pretty good at maintaining the step rate at about 180 steps per minute, when it comes to short workouts.

For now, there still remains 10 weeks until the next marathon. Now I need mainly some good weeks with a high mileage and some good tempo and interval workouts. I don’t plan to run ridiculously lot, because I think my recovery takes already a lot longer time than a few years ago. I also want to keep my legs healthy and fresh. 😉

Tomorrow I really should do a longer run, even though it may be a challenge to find the time for it, but I’ll try anyway. Until next time: Happy workouts!
