3×2 miles @Interval pace and 5 min recovery + wu/cd

The service break is over and everything is getting back to the old state gradually. There still are some services I have to restore, but at least the blog is up and running and I can submit new postings.

Tonight I wasn’t sure whether I could cope with the training – three times 2 miles at interval pace and a five minute recovery plus warmup and cool down. It’s pretty obvious that my condition is not still as good as I want, but the tendency seems right. In a week, however, one cannot reach any miracles so at the moment I’m surprised if I’m able to go sub 40 minutes next week, but let’s see….

I wanted to run all the intervals at about the same pace I’m intending to run in the race, but it turned out to be harder than expected. The first repeat was fine, but due to the high speed during the second pace my legs felt very heavy and not very co-operative. In other words I reduced the pace a bit in order to be able to have a reasonable training in the end. All in all I could reach 11k tonight, without any cool down phase, but I think it’s not a bad thing, as my next run will be an easy one.
