I finished the day by heading to the final long run before the marathon next Sunday. I aimed at keeping a peaceful pace during the first 10 km and then run a couple of kilometres with a quicker pace. The colleague of mine (K.) joined me for the first half of the run. This plan worked out pretty well. We kept a very relaxed pace and after the first round I accelerated and ran 6 km at the marathon pace (or maybe a little quicker).

What is a bit worrying is that I still have symptoms of flu, but I hope it will be over during the week. Now I basically want to have a couple light preparement runs to keep going, but the basis for the marathon has already been built and cannot be improved any more. Next Sunday is the runner’s pay day and party time! 😉
