Saturday night’s round

Distance: 7.36 km
Duration: 46m:21s
Average pace: 06:18 min/km
Average heart rate: 125
Max heart rate: 145

Good Evening! After having spent three hours on my feet in Weser Stadium I decided I have to get some movement in the evening. This was a great chance to get familiar with the new GPS watch so that there won’t be any difficulties with using it on the marathon next Sunday. I tested the training mode where one selects the desired heart rate zone. I tested today with the lowest zone as I felt really tired. However, my heart rate was higher most of the time and I didn’t want to slow down too much so in that sense the training wasn’t a complete success. However, I got the sound feedback in Finnish and was able to fine-tune my running pace according to it. So maybe I’ll use this functionality sometimes.

Tomorrow, there will be final longish run before the marathon and the main goal is just to keep healthy and get a good training to support the last week. I still recall painfully the last training before Berlin. Everything felt pretty good, but on the following day the throat was sore and the voice partly disappeared. I really hope to avoid that this time.
