Hello there,

It’s been a while since the last post and as you may expect the reason was the disappointment due to that I could not start in Berlin. The flu has lasted until now – today’s attempt to start again with the running was not an entirely pleasant experience. It felt like having lead in the legs, but let’s see; obviously I’m not fully recovered yet.

After the race (or DNS) is a race. The widget to the right has been updated to count down to Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel marathon that will be in about three weeks. My PB is from there last year and I really liked it there. The route profile is not even, but not terrible either. Because the event is pretty small (at least compared to Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen etc.) you don’t usually have to worry about the crowds and that it might slow you down. On the other hand the probability of having to run alone most of the race is pretty high. All in all I’m very excited already; I just hope to remain healthy now…

Today’s run does not require many words. The first run after an illness is usually a bad one. At least today it was. I hope tomorrow will be better. What’s not so nice is that the autumn really starts to be here and there will more and more bad weather conditions, but that’s part of this sports…
