Due to the thunderstorm yesterday morning I had to make a change to my plan and go for a run not until in the evening. The weather conditions were pretty harsh, about +21°C at 9PM with an extremely high air humidity. With regards to this I was pretty satisfied with the overall feeling during the run.

The workout contained 6 miles at the long run pace which prepared well for the end phase of the training. The core workout was to run 10 miles at the targeted marathon race pace (in my case ~ 4.30 – 4.40 min/km). This pace felt pretty hard at least partly because of the weather, at least I hope so. What did not work out that well, was the final pace of the run, where the objective was to run the final 2 miles at the 10k race pace. I only did one mile after which I figured out to give up and run give easier end to the training. Maybe it was the humidity, thirstiness or just my lousy condition, but not a complete success. Well, there still are a couple of weeks to get to the target so it’s no use of losing the faith at this stage.

Tomorrow again there’ll again be running with an easy run on the schedule.
