At the moment I’m eagerly waiting for the delivery of Stickr Trackr, a tiny gadget for locating lost items with your smartphone. Basically you attach the tracker button to a desired spot, e.g. on your wallet, child etc. and you’ll be able to locate the tracker item by using the provided smartphone app. Moreover there are some additional functionalities included. The other Trackr users are able to locate other users’ trackr items and send notifications to the service about the latest location of the missing item.
As the product is being developed by a startup company based on the crowd funding, there have been some delays already. However, I received an E-Mail before the christmas that the delivery of the product is about to start. I’ll return with a small hands-on review, once I’ll receive the device.
After having been using these guys for a couple of weeks, the experience is unfortunately not entirely positive as there seems to be some kind of problem that the tracker chirps/beeps constantly; I already woke up twice wondering what an earth the beep can be and which device can be the reason to it. Let’s see whether the firmware update helps…
